A showdown between the city’s top two teams. It will feature Jake Norton (signed with Texas A&M) vs. Andy Munoz and Adam Barton in the freestyles. Also look for Chris Rodriguez (East) vs. Calvin Zielsdorf (Cath, signee with Texas A&M) and Andy Donovan (Cath) in the 200 IM and 500 Free respectively. Don’t forget about Tom Dean vs. Yussif Del Valle in the 100 Fly. Cathedral should have the edge in the 200 Medley Relay and Eastwood should have the edge in the 200 Free Relay, and the meet might come down to the 400 Free Relay, which could be a toss-up.
Prediction: Cathedral- 92, Eastwood- 78This is the one Coronado has been waiting three years for. Over the past three years, Coronado has inched their way closer and closer to their Westside rivals, and this year they think they can over take them. The sprints will showcase Coronado’s Katherine White and Launnie Friedman vs. Franklin’s Leila Feinberg and Cameron Torres. The Fly and Back will feature Aimee Dunavant (Cor) vs. Anne Marie Trahan (Fran). The breast will have a pair of freshman, Taylore Leibsle (Cor) vs. Kristina Berghdal (Fran). Look for Coronado’s depth to win this one however.
